Paolo Casentini runs a private practice in Milan, Italy. He graduated in dentistry from the University of Milan. He is a Senior Fellow of the ITI and the Past Chairman of the ITI Section Italy. He is also an active member of the the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO). He is the author and co-author of many scientific papers on implantology and regenerative surgery published in international peer-reviewed journals. Paolo Casentini has contributed to 12 text books on implantology, pre-implant surgery and oral surgery, some of them published in English and/or translated into several other languages, including the ITI Treatment Guide volumes 4, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 13 that have been translated into 8 languages. Together with Daniele Cardaropoli he recently published the textbook “Pink Esthetic and Soft Tissues in Implant Dentistry” that is available in 5 different languages. His main fields of interest are the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implantology, periodontology and prosthetic rehabilitation in advanced and demanding cases. He has lectured extensively on these topics in more than 50 countries.

Dr. Ferruccio Torsello specializes in orthodontics and implant dentistry. A graduate of the Catholic University of Rome, he completed postgraduate studies and a PhD, with additional training at Aarhus University for Orthodontics and Eastman Dental Hospital for implantology. An award-winning researcher, he has published over 30 papers and is actively involved in the ITI and EAO. He runs two multidisciplinary dental practices in Rome and in Casarano (LE), while also contributing to clinical research.

Prof. France Lambert is currently Head of the Department of Periodontology, Oro-Dental Surgery and Implant Surgery at the University of Liège, and Director of the EFP-accredited postgraduate program in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She also co-directs the Dental Biomaterials Research Unit (d-BRU). Her clinical activity is exclusively dedicated to periodontology and implant surgery. Her research focuses on innovative implant protocols, hard and soft tissue regeneration, and the development of smart regenerative biomaterials.

Prof. Lambert graduated in dentistry in 2002 and completed her postgraduate training in Periodontology at the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2005. She subsequently received a one-year ITI Scholarship to Harvard School of Dental Medicine to further specialize in implantology and defended her PhD in 2011 on regenerative biomaterials, while serving as Head of Clinic at the University of Liège.

Prof. Lambert is an ITI Board Member and Chair of the ITI Research Committee, and Affiliate of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. She has held several major international leadership roles, including Past-President of the Belgian Society of Periodontology, former Delegate to the European Federation of Periodontology, former Chair of the ITI Belux Section, and former Member of the Expert Council of the Osteology Foundation.

She lectures internationally and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals in periodontology and implant dentistry.

Dr. Oscar González-Martín is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He also teaches in the graduate program of periodontology at University Complutense of Madrid while maintaining a private practice exclusively for periodontics, prosthesis and implants.

He received his DDS degree from the University of Seville in 1999 and was appointed an assistant professor at the same university from 1999 to 2005 while also in private practice. In 2005, he moved to Philadelphia where he was awarded an MS degree in Graduate Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 as well as the Arnold Weisgold’s Director’s Award. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics in 2009. In 2010, he received an ITI Scholarship to the University of Geneva School of Dental Medicine. Dr. James Chow is a specialist in oral & maxillofacial surgery who has been practicing implant dentistry for 30 years with expertise in immediate implant loading, zygomatic implants, computer-assisted implant surgery including dental robotics. Prof. Alessandro Pozzi DDS PhD is a Clinical Researcher and Professor at Tor Vergata University of Rome, Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Goldstein Center for Esthetics and Implant Dentistry, Augusta University, USA and a lecturer in the Department of Restorative & Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, USA.

Prof. Pozzi has been practicing since 1997. He specializes in oral surgery, orthodontics and TMJ dysfunctions. He is licensed by the Italian General Dental Council of Rome and by the UK General Dental Council of London. In 2020, he was awarded Fellowship status by the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) for his commitment to the field of osseointegration. In the 2023 he received the Dual-Specialist Diploma in Surgical and Prosthetic Implant Dentistry from the AO. In 2024, he was accepted as an Associate Member of the American Academy Esthetic Dentistry.

Prof. Pozzi is widely published and is an international award winner for his clinical research. Besides lecturing internationally, he is the founder of the Pozzi Institute in Rome, one of few international centers that meet the Academy of Osseointegration’s strict academic and clinical criteria, where he has been training colleagues from all over the world. He is recognized as a global expert in digital implant dentistry and advanced technologies, such as navigation and robotics, focusing on the surgical and prosthetic aspects of the full arch digital treatment with FP1 and AllonX protocols.

Dr. Sergio Piano has been working in private practice in Genoa since 1992. He graduated from the University of Genoa in 1988. Between 1991 and 1992, he held the position of Visiting Assistant at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in the Departments of Fixed Prosthodontics (Prof. Belser), Periodontology (Prof. Cimasoni) and Oral Surgery (Prof. Fiore-Donno, Dr. Bernard). In 2006 he became an ITI Fellow and since then he regularly lectures in Italy and abroad on surgical and prosthetic topics in implantology. He is a member of the ITI Section Italy Leadership Team as ITI Study Club Coordinator. He runs the ITI Study Club in Genoa.

Dr. Piano is an Active Member of both the IAO (Italian Academy of Osseointegration) and the IAED (Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry) as well as an Affiliate Member of EAED (European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry). Dr. Piano is the author of several papers written in the area of implantology.

Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos serves as Professor of Postgraduate Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and as Adjunct Professor at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health. Additionally, he maintains a full-time private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Boston.

Dr. Papaspyridakos has authored more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and he lectures extensively at national and international dental meetings as well as serving as a reviewer for several dental journals. His innovative clinical implant research is widely cited and has received international acclaim with educational awards, including the 2022 American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) 1st Prize Award for Best Clinical Article of the year. Will Martin, DMD, MS, FACP, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry and currently serves as the Director of the Center for Implant Dentistry. He received his DMD from the University of Florida and completed his MS and Certificate in Prosthodontics from Baylor College of Dentistry.

Dr. Martin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, International Team for Implantology and the Academy of Prosthodontics. Dr. Martin has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and abstracts. He has co-authored several textbooks on implant dentistry, specifically the ITI Treatment Guide Vol. 1, S.A.C. Dr. Ghida Lawand is a Digital Implant Fellow at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon, and took a master’s degree in Prosthodontics and Esthetic Dentistry at Saint Joseph University, Lebanon. She has served as a clinical and digital instructor in the Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics Department at Beirut Arab University. In addition to her academic role, she has practiced dentistry in her private practice and at Tohme Clinic. In 2018, she won the Middle East and North Africa regional finals of the Global Clinical Case Contest held by Dentsply Sirona. Professor Dr. Vivianne Chappuis is an Oral Surgeon and Chair of the Clinic for Oral Surgery and Stomatology and Division of Oral Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Bern Switzerland.

During her research fellowship at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, she examined the molecular basics of bone regeneration to examine the potential role of growth factors and bioactive molecules. She continued her translational research in the fields of tissue regeneration and digital 3D computational imaging.

In 2018 and 2019, she was awarded with the André Schroeder Research Prize. As an oral surgeon with broad experience in tissue regeneration, she is deeply involved in teaching, training, performing live surgeries, workshops and lectures in national and international courses and congresses. Dr. Gary Finelle maintains a private practice in Paris, France, limited to surgical and restorative implant rehabilitations, with a particular focus on esthetic outcomes. He received his dental degree from the University of Paris VII in 2009, where he completed his doctoral thesis on soft tissue healing around dental implants.

From 2011 to 2013, he was a full-time resident in the Advanced Graduate Program of Oral Implantology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (Boston, MA). His clinical and academic interests center on the integration of digital technologies into surgical and prosthetic implant therapy.

He is an ITI Fellow and international speaker and served on the ITI Leadership Committee from 2019 to 2025. Dr. Duygu Karasan is a specialist in reconstructive dentistry and a faculty member at the University of Geneva’s Clinics for Dental Medicine, Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials.

After earning her DDS and completing a specialization in prosthodontics at Hacettepe University (Ankara), she received her PhD in 2014. In 2013–2014, she was a visiting researcher in prosthodontics at the University of Freiburg under Prof. Joerg Strub and Prof. Wael Att. In 2018, she was awarded an ITI Scholarship to Geneva (Chair: Prof. Irena Sailer).

Following completion of her ITI Scholarship year, she finalized a specialization in reconstructive dentistry and earned both her Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) and her Doctorate at the University of Geneva. She currently serves as a Research and Teaching Fellow, coordinates the undergraduate fixed prosthodontics clinic, and supervises in the postgraduate program.

Dr. Karasan is a principal investigator in translational research, focusing on the integration of digital dental technologies to optimize reconstructive workflows by enhancing precision, reducing treatment times, and improving predictability in complex rehabilitations. Her scholarly work spans implant dentistry, biomechanics, esthetic implant rehabilitation, and efficiency optimization in clinical workflows, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and invitations to speak internationally.

She is an active member of the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry (SSRD), the International Team for Implantology (ITI, since 2010), the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO), and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), contributing to the advancement of evidence-based, digitally enabled prosthodontic care.

Prof. Gülce Çakmak (Dr. med.dent) is Head of the Digital Dental Technologies Laboratory in the Department of Prosthodontics, Geriatric Dentistry and Craniomandibular Disorders, at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Reconstructive Dentistry and Gerodontology at the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Bern, Switzerland (ZMK Bern).

Dr. Çakmak obtained her undergraduate dental degree from Ankara University, Turkey, and her PhD from Gazi University, Turkey. She completed a visiting scholar program at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (Research Internship in Restorative, Prosthetic, and Implant Dentistry) in 2016, and an ITI Scholarship at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2021, she was the first Scholar at the Buser Foundation Scholarship for Implant Dentistry in the Department of Reconstructive Dentistry and Gerodontology at the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Bern, Switzerland (ZMK Bern).

She has been an ITI Fellow since 2022 and serves as the ITI Study Club Director (Digital Young ITI Study Club) in Switzerland, is an Editorial Board Member of the ITI Academy, a consultant in the ITI Section Switzerland Leadership Team, Deputy Chair of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin ITI Scholarship Center, and sits on the ITI Leadership Development Committee. In addition, she served in the Poster Committee of the ITI World Symposium Singapore. She is also a member of the Research Submissions Committee and the AO/OF Research Grant Committee in the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Çakmak previously worked at Istanbul Aydin and Istanbul Okan Universities (Turkey) as a preclinical and clinical instructor and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2019.

She has published more than 150 original articles in prestigious journals (h-index 32, citations >3,475) and currently leads and participates in several international collaborative projects with universities and dental corporations. She has received multiple grants, poster and oral communication awards, and travel grants from various foundations and scientific congresses. She currently serves as an Associate Editor of the Digital Dentistry Journal and the Cumhuriyet Dental Journal, and as a member of the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Dentistry – Digital Dentistry Section and the European Annals of Dental Sciences. As an international speaker, she has delivered numerous lectures, workshops, oral and poster presentations, chaired sessions at international conferences, and actively contributes to professional organizations.

She is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO), and the Turkish Prosthodontics and Implantology Association (TPID). Her professional career includes extensive research experience in university settings and clinical practice in both academic and private practice environments. Her academic interests focus on oral implantology, digital dentistry applications, physical, optical, mechanical, and biological properties of dental materials, CAD/CAM in prosthodontics, and artificial intelligence applications in digital workflows.
