Dr. Luis Gonzaga is a clinician and practices at the University of Florida Center for Implant Dentistry, treating patients with complex surgical or prosthetic needs that involve dental implants.

Dr. Gonzaga graduated from the Catholic University of Brasilia College of Dentistry in 2004. and was awarded an ITI Scholarship in 2009. In 2011 he was accepted and then completed a residency program and master’s in Prosthodontics at the University of Florida in 2014.

Dr. Gonzaga is an ITI Speaker and Fellow, a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is a past communications officer for the ITI Section USA and former President of the Florida Prosthodontic Association.

Dr. Gonzaga lectures nationally and internationally on implant dentistry, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and has collaborations with the universities of Michigan, Kentucky, Tufts, and Sao Paulo.

Dr. Sonia Leziy maintains a full-time practice in Nanaimo/BC. She has been awarded several teaching awards, including the Lucy Hobbs Award for mentorship (2013), the Saul Schluger Award for excellence in teaching and education (2014), the 2022 American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Distinguished Lecturer Award, and the 2022 Greater NY Academy of Prosthodontics Distinguished Lecturer Award as well as achieving recognition by Dentistry Today as a leader in continuing education. She is a member of numerous editorial boards, and is published in the areas of implant esthetics, digital workflows and soft tissue therapies, including the Dermal ARC protocol.

Dr. Leziy is a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and the ICOI. She is editor of the implant section of Inside Dentistry/Aegis Publications. She is an ITI Fellow and a member of the ITI Board of Studies. She lectures internationally, and provides education programs through Elatus Dental Bio-Architecture (www.elatus.ca) and Vancouver Island Dental Specialists (www.videntalspecialists.com).

He graduated from Vilnius University, Lithuania in 2002, completed his periodontology residency at Lithuania University of Health Science in 2006, and was awarded his PhD from Vilnius University in 2016. Dr. Eglė Vindašiūtė-Narbutė is a Lithuanian prosthodontist with extensive clinical and academic experience in restorative and implant-supported dental rehabilitation. She has been a specialist prosthodontist at the Vilnius Implantology Centersince 2008, where her practice focuses on dental prosthetics, minimally invasive restoration, and implant-supported fixed and removable prostheses.

Dr. Vindašiūtė-Narbutė earned her dental degree and subsequent Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in dental sciences from Vilnius University, where she also completed residency training in prosthetic dentistry. She holds academic appointments at the university’s Faculty of Medicine, serving as Associate Professor in the Institute of Odontology.

In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Vindašiūtė-Narbutė is an expert for the Lithuanian Research, Innovation and Technology Agency and has held leadership roles in professional dental societies. She is a member of the Lithuanian Dental Chamber, the Baltic Osteointegration Academy, and the Lithuanian Prosthodontists Association, among other professional organizations.

Her academic and professional contributions include presentations, continuing education courses, and co-authorship in peer-reviewed research on restorative and implant dentistry. Dr. Vindašiūtė-Narbutė also directs clinical education and training, sharing expertise in aesthetic and functional prosthetic techniques with peers and dental professionals.

Dr. Istvan Urban is an adjunct clinical associate professor in the Department of Periodontology and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He received his DMD and MD degrees from Semmelweis University School of Medicine and Dentistry (Budapest, Hungary) in 1991 and 1996. He completed a full-time program in oral surgery at St. Istvan Hospital in Budapest, Hungary (1992-1996). He completed his internship program in periodontics at UCLA. After graduating from the Fellowship Program (1999-2000) in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, he was appointed assistant professor the following year. Dr. Urban is licensed in the state of California (USA) and has a private practice in Budapest, Hungary.

Dr. Urban received his PhD degree in Periodontology in 2012 from the University of Szeged, Hungary, where he is currently an honorary professor. Dr. Urban is a board member of the Osteology Foundation and has published scientific articles and textbook chapters on bone regeneration and soft tissue reconstructive surgery around dental implants.

Dr. Urban is the author of the textbook entitled Vertical and Horizontal Augmentation published by Quintessence, which has been published in 12 languages. He recently authored the second part of the book titled VERTICAL 2: The NEXT LEVEL.

Dr. Jennifer Chantler is an Australian board-certified prosthodontist with a special interest in comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation using natural dentition, dental implants, minimally invasive restorations, and removable prosthetic solutions. Her clinical philosophy integrates biological principles, function, esthetics, and long-term predictability to deliver patient-centered outcomes across complex restorative cases. Dr. Chantler’s academic and clinical research focuses on implant restoration design, the biological and mechanical implications of immediate implant placement and loading protocols, ceramic restorative materials, and the application of digital technologies in contemporary prosthodontics.

She has lectured extensively at both national and international forums and has published her work in leading peer-reviewed dental journals, including Clinical Oral Implants Research, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry,Journal of Periodontology, and the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia and a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne. Dr. Chantler is a Fellow of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontics and a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Prosthodontics).

Dr. Franz Strauss is a Senior Lecturer at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry led by Prof. Ronald Jung at the University of Zurich.

He graduated from the University of Finis Terrae, Chile, in 2010, completed his specialization in periodontics in 2014, and obtained a Master of Science in 2015 from the Universities of Valparaíso and Chile, respectively. In 2017, he moved to Vienna, Austria, to pursue a PhD in Applied Medical Science at the Medical University of Vienna, which he completed in 2023. In 2025, he earned a Master of Science in Evidence-Based Health Care and Medical Statistics from the University of Oxford, UK.

Dr. Strauss’s research focuses on oral regeneration and implant dentistry, with an emphasis on translating evidence into patient- and clinician-centered practice. He has designed and conducted basic, preclinical, and clinical studies, leading to over 100 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He is an active reviewer for several leading journals in periodontics and implant dentistry and serves as Section Editor for Implantology in the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He contributed two chapters to the latest edition of Lindhe’s Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Strauss has received numerous scholarships and research grants as principal investigator or co-investigator from various organisations, including theITI, Oral Reconstruction Foundation, Osteology Foundation and Geistlich-Stucki Foundation.

Yiqun Wu has retained a full-time position at Shanghai Jiao Tong University College of Stomatology for more than 20 years and is currently professor of Department of Oral Implantology and the Department Chair of the Second Dental Center, Ninth People’s Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is Vice Chair and a standing committee member of the Chinese Society of Oral Implantology.

Yiqun Wu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University College of Stomatology in 2005 with a PhD degree. He began his professional career in the early 1990s as an oral surgeon in the Department of Oral Surgery, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In the late 1990s, he began performing implant-related clinical practice in the Department of Oral Implantology, which is one of the first professional, specialized departments focusing on implant dentistry to be established in mainland China.

Dr. Wu is very actively engaged in clinical and basic research in the field of implant dentistry as a primary investigator and research mentor for postgraduate students and residents. He has authored more than 100 scientific publications, and his work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. He has obtained more than 10 national and international research grants. His interests and expertise focuses on the application of dynamic navigation and artificial intelligence in implant dentistry as well as the pathogenic mechanism and treatment of congenital missing teeth.

Dr. Wu is currently Chair of the ITI Section China, an ITI Fellow and Chair of ITI Scholarship Center Shanghai. He is also the Director of the training and exam program of Diploma in Implant and Prosthetic Dentistry (International), Royal College of Surgery (Edinburgh) and Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Prof. Feng Wang obtained BDS (2005), MDS (2007), and PhD (2015) degrees from SJTU. She was involved in dental implant treatment in Ninth People’s Hospital, SJTU from 2007 to 2024. Prof. Wang has an ongoing interest in digital implant surgery, implant-related oral reconstruction. Her current basic research focuses on the development of congenital tooth loss and implant therapy. Prof. Wang is an ITI Fellow, Education Committee Member of the Foundation of Oral Rehabilitation (FOR) and Committee Member of the Chinese Stomatological Association, implantology branch and oral genetic/rare diseases branch. She has published more than 70 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and is now on the editorial board of CIDRR.

Prof. Waldemar D. Polido is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with an MS and PhD from the PUCRS School of Dentistry in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Co-Director of the Center for Implant, Esthetic and Innovative Dentistry at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, in Indianapolis, USA. He completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Polido is member of the AAOMS, IAOMS, AO-CMF, Academy of Osseointegration, and is certified by the International Board for Certification of Specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also contributes as an author and reviewer for the main journals in oral and maxillofacial surgery and implant dentistry.

Dr. Polido is an engaged ITI Fellow and has contributed as an author and co-author to the ITI Online Academy, ITI Treatment Guides, ITI Consensus Conferences and Forum Implantologicum, as well as lecturing at many national and international ITI events, including the last three ITI World Symposiums. Dr. Polido co-authored the recently published SAC 2nd Edition — Risk Assessment in Implant Dentistry. His main professional interests are in advanced and complex implant surgeries, orthognathic surgery and digital technology.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Eik Schiegnitz is Head of the Division of Implantology in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Mainz, Germany and he also has a private practice in Wiesbaden, Germany. He obtained his medical degree (2009) from the University of Giessen and his dental degree (2013) from the University of Mainz. Dr. Adam Hamilton BDSc, DCD, FRACDS is the Discipline lead in Prosthodontics at the University of Western Australia. He is the former director of the Division of Regenerative Sciences and Implant Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he still lectures for the advanced graduate implant dentistry program.

He completed his general dental education at the University of Western Australia and has a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in the specialty of Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the International Team for Implantology. He was the recipient of an ITI Scholarship through which he completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Florida’s Center for Implant Dentistry.

Dt. Hamilton’s research focuses are on implant placement and loading protocols, the impact of digital technology in prosthodontics and implant dentistry as well as digital workflows for implant rehabilitation of the edentulous patient. Dr. Lorenzo Tavelli is a periodontist, clinical researcher, and part time lecturer at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He received his dental degree from the University of Milan and completed a three-year residency in Periodontology together with a Master of Science at the University of Michigan. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and previously served as Director of the Postgraduate Program in Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Tavelli’s clinical and research activities focus on microsurgical and minimally invasive soft tissue grafting procedures around teeth and dental implants. His work has focused on the integration of high frequency ultrasonography and biologic markers of wound healing to assess soft tissue perfusion and optimize surgical outcomes. He lectures internationally and has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research.

His contributions to periodontal and implant research have been recognized with several international awards, including the 2024 ITI André Schroeder Research Prize, the 2023 American Academy of Periodontology Earl Robinson Regeneration Award, the 2022 AAP Foundation Nevins Clinical Research Fellowship, the 2021 Goldman Clinical Research Award from the Italian Society of Periodontology, and the 2020 AAP Balint Orban Research Award.
